1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. This makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of having to empty their dust bin manually when it is full.
Both robots are proficient at picking up surface dirt on carpets and hard floors and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home that assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it may have trouble in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes clearing out any toys or clutter it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning from where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It has self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its auto-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or through the app.
The i7+ is faster and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin that eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. When connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered with a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that lasts for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system captures allergens and expels cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to suck up large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes to match the task that is being completed. It can quickly switch between handheld and floor vacuum, and vice versa.
The model comes with a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% within 3.5 hours. It also gives the ability to connect two attachments as well as an Wand. This is a significant improvement over older Dysons models, which require a lengthy charge and are a pain to store.
The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. As a result, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords and low furniture, and it frequently runs out of battery power before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways because it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job maneuvering itself. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.

It also feels better-built and has a more powerful motor, and works better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while providing a greater variety of features for automation.

Samsung is a name that you see on all sorts of electronic gadgets for your home It's no surprise that they're one of the top robotic vacuum and mop makers. Their Jet Bot AI+ is loaded with cutting-edge onboard intelligence tech for navigation and obstacle avoidance.
The app gives you plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior customization docking frequency settings and more. The app is easy to use and understand similar to other Samsung devices.
In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other models we tried and could be a deal-breaker for certain shoppers.
The app lets you access the onboard camera of the smart vacuum. You can also create live streaming from the robot's cleaning zone. This feature lets you to check in on your pets or children while you are away. The filter and the dust bin can be washed to make cleanup quick and easy. The Jet Bot AI+ also comes with a clean station that self-empties and helps keep the robot's dustbin clear and maximizes suction power for each cleaning run.

Black and Decker robots have been developed specifically for flooring made of hard wood. They feature an extra-wide cleaning path and an extra-large dustbin that holds 2X more debris than the competition to keep the area clean for the longest time. Additionally, they come with two side sweepers to clean along edges and in corners. The POWERSERIES model also comes with AutoSense which adjusts the power level according to whether it's collecting dirt on the surface or embedded dirt. The vacuum also has an app that allows users to see the virtual map, manage functions, and schedules. You can also monitor the vacuum's battery status and return it to its dock for charging at the touch of a button. The app allows you to modify the LEDs on the top of the vacuum so that you can discern where it is focusing or if it's stuck.
The app also makes it simple to manually steer the robot should you need to. For instance my living room rug has a darkly colored border that can make it difficult for other robots I've tested. However, the HRV 425BL kept moving across the border without registering it as a cliff. Also, the ability to create a weekly cleaning schedule is a great time-saving convenience.
